thank you! someone who agrees with me about that burial album! There are some albums on your list that I did not include, but almost did: eluvium, jose gonzalez, to name a couple. I also almost included the clientele, emma pollock, metric, minus story, maps, and blond redhead.
I really don't understand what all the hype is about panda bear. I must be missing something...?
There was a lot of great music this year. I don't know if I can list my top 20 albums, but my favorite album from '07 was The National's "The Boxer," followed by "Neon Bible," "In Rainbows," Spoon's "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga" and . . . hmmm, probably Bloc Party's "Weekend In The City." A lot of bands released disappointing albums this year - The New Pornographers, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Stars, Interpol, The Shins, Kanye West . . . even good albums, like Rilo Kiley's and Bloc Party's were still disappointing.
If I may recommend one non-music cd, its Patton Oswalt's "Werewolves and Lollipops," which just KILLS.
