Garry WInograd made his students use black & white film and demand "color". He was looking for the kind of imagery in these photos. Hints of color (perhaps actual color) but more about contrasting whites, treys, blacks, and everything in between. Bravo. (and a little wind blown hair).
She's a genius. Everything she does is beautiful and fascinating. I hope she had someone with her. These pics look like it seemed lonely or dangerous and cold like the life of an Arctic fisherman.
